Table dancing club protest

Posted by Tom Shaw on Oct 16, 08 11:42 AM in People

There will be a protest on Friday against a proposed table dancing club in West Kensington.

Residents opposed to the club above the former Fox pub in North End Road Crescent will gather outside the venue at 5pm.

More than 1,000 people have signed petitions opposing the club, which they say is too close to schools.

Objectors also say it is near a library used by parents and children.

They will be joined by MP for Hammersmith and Fulham Greg Hands.

We'd like to hear from you.

I don't support these kinds of places but it's a little surprising to see the 'near a library used by parents and children' line trotted out. Yes, it is near a library; pretty much next door in fact. But do people really think the club is going to be in operation at the same time that children are going to be using the library?
