Would you like the courage to sing?
News these days is all a bit doom and gloom.
West London woman Katy Seath reckons she has the perfect tonic.
The vocalist, who fronts local band Bassistry, wants to help you find your voice and lift your spirits, with The Courage to Sing in Hammersmith.
The first class, at the Ravenscourt Theatre School, Galena Road, Hammersmith, is on tonight, but interested adults can still sign up for the remaining five weeks, until next Thursday.
"Singing is a really uplifting thing to do, especially in the current turbulent times," Katy, from Chiswick, says.
Far from a frightening stand-up solo, or boring sing-along class, Courage to Sing aims to improve participants' creativity, self-confidence, health and imagination, as well as their vocal talents.
Katy says: "Our goal is to give people the tools to develop artistically, vocally, musically, and creatively, and, in so doing communicate an expanded sense of what is possible in life; increase levels of self-confidence, personal power, talent, imagination, health and well being.
"We offer a variety of courses and workshops for everybody from beginner to advanced singers and cover all styles of music."
There are several other Courage to Sing venues around London and the UK, all subscribing to the same ethos - 'when people are being creative, they're not being destructive'.
